Bar

MYC’s professional steward ensures a warm welcome to our clubhouse and bar.

Our bar is well stocked with a good selection of Shepherd Neame draft beers, monthly guest beers and spirits, including local ‘Dockyard’ gin.

Our wine list features those from the best regions of the world, including English vineyards.

Open Wednesday and Friday evenings and at the weekends.

Galley

Our Galley is open on Wednesday evenings where 1-3 course seasonal dishes are prepared and served by our dedicated staff.

Throughout the sailing season, freshly battered fish and chips are served on Friday evenings, along with seasonal specials that continue throughout the weekend.

Once a month, the Club offers popular food and drink themed Friday evenings, with a traditional carvery on a Sunday.

For those racing sailors or for those spectating, our galley’s popular bacon rolls, baguettes and other snacks are also available at the weekends.

Fine dining is provided by our professional chef for special club events.

Should a member or non-member wish to hire the galley and bar for a private event, our Office will gladly discuss available options.

Moorings and Trot Boat

Moorings include:

  • Swinging moorings – all states of tide
  • Fore and aft moorings

MYC moorings are served by a trot boat that runs regularly early morning and late afternoon on weekdays, and all day at weekends during the season. For special events like regattas or racing, and at other times, the trot boat runs by arrangement.

MYC trot boat listens on VHF channel 37 M1 call sign “Invicta” (or MYC trot boat). Visitors should call for berthing instructions.

Car and Boat Park

Covered by a comprehensive CCTV system the car park is a secure place to leave your car in the summer while you are away cruising or your boat to be laid up ashore in the winter.

To lay up you will need a cradle to support a fin keeled yacht. If you don’t have one of your own some are available to hire from the Cruiser Class.

Changing Rooms

After a long day’s sailing a refreshing shower is available in the changing rooms for both ladies and gents.

Secure Storage

Lockers are available in the clubhouse for valuables to be securely stored while you are out sailing.

Fireproof storage for outboard motors is available for a small rental.

A secure compound is available to store inflatables.

Cranes

We have three fixed cranes on site, all of which can be operated by members with brief training.

A 2 tonne rated crane can be used to lift smaller boats from the scrubbing trolley on to their trailer.

There are two mast cranes, one in front of the clubhouse that is used by smaller trailer sailors, and one in the car park used by cruisers.
