Medway Yacht Club
MYC is easily reached by land, by road or rail. Strood station is a short taxi ride away and boasts fast services on HS1 to London St Pancras.
By road simply enter the Club’s post code ME2 4XB into your satnav. When you arrive at the gate press the intercom button and either the office or clubhouse staff will answer and raise the barrier. Remember to smile as you will be recorded on the entry system for security purposes.
The Medway is easy to find although the Grain Power Station chimney is no longer there.
As you approach the Medway entrance give the infamous wreck of the Richard Montgomery ammunition ship a wide berth and once you are in the river keep well to the south as you pass the LNG terminal on the North shore. Once past its simple to follow the channel buoys upriver until you reach Upnor.
Once you arrive at Upnor call the trot boat (Call Sign “Invicta”) on Ch37 at weekends or ring the office on 01634 718399 to be allocated a visitors mooring or a space on the pontoon.
The pontoon is often busy at weekends but during the week space should be available.
We welcome group visits, but it is best to book in advance by ringing the office to make sure space is available.
