Family Membership

Medway Yacht Club is open to everyone who has an interest in amateur sailing or motor boating. There is no requirement to own a boat to join. Sailors and boaters at MYC range from complete novices to expert racers and round the world yachtsmen and women, plus everything in between.

MYC has an active social side and all of the fleets are keen to have new members. If you think you would like to try sailing they will find a way to get you on the water as crew during a race or after racing. Whichever suits you. 

Is Family membership suitable for you?

  • Applicant must be 18 or over on date of election, or Jan 1st, whichever is later.
  • Applicant and partner must reside together at the same address
  • Children under 18 (under 23 if in full-time education) must reside with applicant
  • At the discretion of the Management Committee, membership may also include grandchildren under 14. They must be supervised by a full-time member when in the clubhouse.

Please detail your sailing experience, membership of any similar clubs and reasons for wanting to join Medway Yacht Club.

If you know any existing MYC members then please provide their names.
Please provide any extra information you think is relevant to your application.

Data Protection

The information you provide on this form will be used solely for dealing with you as a members of Medway Yacht Club.

Your data will be stored and used in accordance with this policy.

The club may wish to publish a membership paper handbook or yearbook in addition to an online directory with member's contact details, which will be available to all members. Details of members under the age of 18 will not be shared.

Please be aware that if you later decide to withdraw your consent it will not be possible to remove your contact details from printed material until such time as a new edition is printed.

The Club may arrange for photographs or videos to be taken of Club activities and published on our websiteor social media channels to promote the Club.
