‘The Medway Muddies’ – Talk by Adam Taylor

For 150 years, gangs of hardworking men known as Muddies dug millions of tons of mud out of the Medway estuary to feed the cement industry.
The worked hard, drank hard, got into fights, and changed the tidal flow of the estuary forever.
