We are sad to report that long-time member Susan Roberts passed away in hospice on Monday 6th May.
Susan joined Medway Yacht Club back in 1958 at the age of 8 and continued to sail here regularly with her brother, John, right up until her recent illness. She was the joint owner firstly of Gratuity and then of Jacstar. There was nothing Susan liked more than to sail to Stangate Creek to see the avocets, or to the mud flats at Hoo to watch the seal colony.
Susan was a cultured lady who went to Cambridge, and played lacrosse to high standard.
