Members can sail the Zests as part of Commodore’s Day

What is the Zest dinghy like to sail? Why has it been an excellent addition to the club’s training? Why has the boat got positive feedback from participants? Members are invited (both adults and youth) to have a go at sailing one of the club Zests during the afternoon of Commodore’s Day. I will run in the afternoon ‘have a go Zest’ sessions in half hour time slots for anyone who is interested to sail the Zests. There will also be optional on the water challenges. Zests can be sailed single-handed, double-handed, or have 3 people aboard if it is an adult and 2 small youth. The MYC Sunday youth are familiar with these boats, so you could team up with a younger member of the club or sail single-handed as an adult or youth. Due to the session timings, one person aboard must be able to sail independently of instruction and be able to leave and return to the slipway in a seamanlike manner. Interested? Book through the club office to avoid disappointment.
