Crewing position sought
I’m better in slightly larger boats (I’m of an age when flexibility is not an improving attribute) but I have also sailed a Wanderer. I’m less familiar with (rigging) smaller craft although in terms of sailing principals I’m sound. I’m familiar with the Medway having sailed on it for 3 years as well as to the south & East coast. I’m a fair weather sailor, but I appreciate we live in the UK and to sail one must “enjoy” our weather and make the most of it whenever possible.
Sailing Experience
I sail at the club, crewing with Bob Turk & the Tuesday group most weeks on his Beneteau 32.5′ “Muskrat Ramble”
I’ve sailed from La Spezia to Portofino this year & have previously sailed to Holland from the Medway up to the Frisian Islands and back.
Numerous other Mediterranean trips including Croatia, Greece (several) & Turkey as well as a trip to Saint Malo via the Solent & Channel Islands.
I’ve sailed to Benfleet, Conyer, Ramsgate, Bradwell, Ipswich and most recently Haybridge lock to mention a few.
I think it’s smart to do a few hours; a day sail or similar with a captain their & crew before embarking on longer trips….
