Who should do this course?

If you are an adult interested in enhancing your sailing skills and technique, this course is for you. Medway Yacht Club instruct using the Sonata Keelboat

This course is an introduction to sailing Keelboat for complete beginners, covering everything you need to know to get afloat to advance you skills on and off the water.

Assumed Knowledge: none

Course content: The RYA Level 3: Better Sailing assumes that the student has previously achieved the RYA Level 2: Basic Skills certificate. By the end of this course, you will be safety conscious and capable of sailing as part of a crew in moderate conditions. Successful completion of this course is the ideal preparation (and pre-requisite) for starting the RYA Advanced Modules.

Minimum duration: 2-day course

Minimum age: 16

Format: afloat predominantly practical on the water with some classroom elements.
