Course: RYA Level 2 Sailing (Keelboat)

Length of course: 2 days

Timings: 9:30am – 4:30pm

Location: Medway Yacht Club, Lower Upnor, Rochester, Kent, ME2 4XB

Who should do this course?

If you are an adult interested in developing your sailing with an instructor aboard the dinghy, this course is for you. Medway Yacht Club instruct using the Wayfarer dinghy.

Build your confidence and develop your skills. By the end of this course, you’ll be a competent sailor in light winds.

Pre-course experience: sailing skills to the standard of Level 1 Keelboat Sailing.

Assumed Knowledge: theory in dinghy Level 1 Keelboat Sailing Syllabus

Course content: Basic Skills course assumes that the student has previously achieved the RYA Level 1 – Start Sailing certificate. This course builds on the skills learned, introduces new ones and supports you along the way to becoming an independent sailor.

Ability after course: able to sail confidently on all points of sail and make decisions in good conditions.

Minimum duration: 2-day course.
