With great sadness the Flag Officers regret to inform you that Lesley Wright, wife of Graham and mother of Victoria, passed away peacefully at home on 19th February.
Lesley had been a member of Medway Yacht Club for nearly 50 years and an active member of both Squib and Sonata fleets many years ago. Further afield Lesley enjoyed racing and cruising offshore and in more recent years sailing on ‘Lycka’ on the East Coast and to channel ports. Lesley also sat on committees and assisted with the Cadet Class.
Her funeral will be a private family affair.
A service of thanksgiving will be held at 12:30 on Wednesday 1st April at St Philip & St James Church, Upnor, Rochester, ME2 4UX, which members are invited to attend. This will be followed by her wake at the club.
This is a ‘Celebration of Life’ and appropriate dress is encouraged.
