Commodore’s Day Saturday 9th August 2025 – Family Day

Our Commodore Catherine Gore invites you and your family to a fun day, both on and off the water.

10:00 to 13:30 –  Our Chief instructor, Elf-ruler Elliot, will be on hand to rule the elves, he will also leading on our ‘give it a go’ session using our Stand up paddle boards and our new RS Tera’s and RS Zests. Come and have a go if you are BRAVE enough!

From 12:00pm –  Enjoy our delicious summer menu from our Galley gang. Later in the afternoon, after racing, enjoy our sumptuous hog roast, from the terrace.

On shore activities – Garden games for the family. Connect four and Jenga in the clubhouse & table tennis in the training room.

Watch out the Vikings are coming!!!

This year our Cruiser Class will be decking out the pontoon (and themselves) with a Viking theme.  Watch out for the best dressed Viking and competition will be strong to win the top prize for the ‘best dressed boat’.

The Commodore & Flag Officers will take a ‘small cup of mead or ale ’ with the class, whilst inspecting the magnificent decorations.

Up for winning again this year are the hugely prestigious Lemon and Magula Trophies.

Lemon Trophy goes to first boat on corrected time on current Portsmouth Yardstick.

Magula Trophy to best class team (3 boats), on corrected time using current Portsmouth Yardstick.

There is also a bottle of wine for the winner of each class in the Lemon Trophy
