Sailing Club on the River Medway with Moorings & Boating Facilities

Located on the River Medway in Kent, MYC is a well established sailing club offering over 200 sheltered boat moorings for vessels from 18 to 42 feet. With its winding course and tidal conditions, the Medway provides rewarding sailing in all weather famously praised by Uffa Fox as a river that “tests all points of sailing, whatever the wind direction”

Boat Handling & Maintenance

Our boating facilities in Kent make launching, recovery, and maintenance simple:

• Travel hoist for boats up to 10 tonnes
• Scrubbing trolley and pressure washer for mid-season cleaning
• All-tide pontoon with fresh water supply

Yard & Storage

Our secure, CCTV monitored site provides boat storage in Kent alongside member parking:

• Car parking while cruising
• Winter boat storage ashore (cradles required; limited hire available)

Facilities

Members benefit from a range of practical yacht club facilities, including:

• Modern changing rooms with showers, including accessible and family areas
• Three fixed cranes:
• 2-tonne crane for smaller boats
• Mast crane by the clubhouse (ideal for trailer sailors)
• Mast crane in the car park for cruising yachts
