Wednesday Evenings Races 2025

The first evening of racing will be 28th May 2025 and racing will run weekly on Wednesdays until 30th July 2025 (10 races).    There will be two series of five consecutive races with the best four races to count. If there are less than five races sailed in a series then all races sailed are to count.

Racing is open to: Dinghies with a PY, and Keel Boats. Keel boats include Cruisers, Dragon, Sonata, Squibs of members and non-members subject to completing the entry form to be lodged with the MYC office prior to racing. The entry fee is waived for 2025.

Keel boats will be issued with a Club Handicap (CH) by the Club. The CH handicaps may be adjusted after each race depending on how boats perform.   This means that keel boats can turn up at the pontoon by about 18:30 complete the paperwork and can race with a CH type handicap issued by the Club. Here are the current Club Handicaps.    Results will also be calculated using 2025 YTC handicaps if they have been obtained.  Click here to Obtain a YTC Handicap       Sailors wanting to crew can turn up on the MYC pontoon at about 18:30.  There will be, almost certainly, a boat which wants crew.   Dragon, Sonata and Squib can sail as one design classes if enough enter.  If not, they can be allocated a Club Handicap and race with the Cruisers.

Dinghies                  18:45                           Numeral pennant 3

Keel Boats              18:55                           Numeral pennant 1
