Dragon Race Report 26th April 2025
The first race of the season saw beautiful conditions for early season practise – a 10 to 15 knot wind from the Northwest made the Club line start perfect for the three boats – Whistle Suti and Taniwha. The course sent us to buoy 23 then a couple of perfect windward leeward loops MYC 4 and 20. Whistle got away but Suti and Taniwha had a good battle – the lead changing several times giving a great introduction to Dragon sailing for Matt White on Suti. A long spinnaker ride against the tide and through the trots sent us back to the Club line and after race social with sausage rolls care of the MDF and a cake to celebrate the opening of the training centre. Also a good discussion of plans for the sailing season.
