DESCRIPTION:Course: RYA Youth Sailing Scheme\, Start Sailing Stage 3\nLength of course: 2 days\nTimings: 9:30am – 4:00pm\nLocation: Medway Yacht Club\, Lower Upnor\, Rochester\, Kent\, ME2 4XB \nWho should do this course? \nIf you are a young person (10-16 years old) and interested in having skills to sail in a dinghy in a range of conditions\, this course is for you. \nBuild your confidence and develop the skills needed to sail in different directions in moderate conditions. \nYouth Sailing Scheme: Start Sailing Stage 3\nPre-course experience: Sailing skills to the standard of Stage 2\nAssumed Knowledge: To the standard of Stage 2\nCourse content: Improved rigging\, sailing theory\, launching and recovery. Building confidence in a range of sailing techniques on all points of sail and capsize recovery \nAbility after course Able to launch and sail a dinghy on all points of sail or around a triangle in moderate conditions.\nMinimum duration 3-day course\nMinimum age 10 years old. (Over 16s may prefer to learn through the Dinghy Sailing Scheme).
