The aim of this training is to equip members with some useful knowledge and tips on the behind the scenes of how to pick a course and some of the aspects to running a sailing race.
If you’d like to know about race management, wish to brush up your skills on what makes a good sailing course, or are simply interested in the planning side of a race, this training is for you.
Topics covered:
• Intro to the role of race management.
• What makes a good course?
• Flags, what is in your arsenal?
• There is just one finish. Phew!
The training will be delivered in a workshop interactive style, so hands on and fun.
It will be led by our Chief Instructor with member volunteers from different club classes in support.
25th March 7-8:30pm in the clubhouse, with the option of a filled Yorkshire pud dinner afterwards for opportunity to enjoy further chat and social.
