The Bosun (Steve Porter) hopes to fit the white rubbing strip which the cruiser class supplied to the inside of the Jetty this month. The Scrubbing trolley is due for a sand blasting and repainting this winter after which new white rubbing strips will be replacing the current black ones. Once again these were supplied by the Cruiser Class.
The club is due to replace the CCTV system this winter and the Cruiser Class has bought the cameras that are going to cover the car park.
It’s that time of year when we have to think about getting our boats out of the water for the winter: don’t forget to book your hauling out and relaunching, forms are in the office . Pay now for both and get it at 2021 prices.
Medway Yacht Club 200 Club.
The club runs a 200 club which gives prizes every month with the cash left over going to finance extras for the club. So far it has raised enough to buy a defibrillator and a pair of high definition binoculars for the race hut and Saxon.. Contact Sue Banister in the office for details of how to join.
Racing
The Club Autumn Series is due to start on the 24th of October and runs for 6 weeks. It’s a really good time to have a cruise with a purpose . To this end there will be a white sail class for the not hardened racer. Entry forms can be found on the club website .
The Club currently needs a trot boat driver for the morning of the 21st and 28th of November.
