Medway Yacht Club (MYC) as the organising authority at the request of the British Dragon Association invites International Dragons to a two day open regatta for the BDA Eastern Championship to be held on the River Medway on the 14th and 15th September 2019.
- Two days of competitive racing with a maximum of six races
- Excellent shore side facilities
- Fantastic fun and entertainment
Schedule
- Week before the event (or earlier)
- Visitors are welcome to bring boats to Medway Yacht Club to rig and be ready for launching. Large secure car park facility within the Club premises
- Friday 13th September
- Registration – Race Office (MYC Library) from 11:00 to 13:00 and 16:00 to 18:00
- Casual supper at MYC
- Saturday 14th September
- Registration – Race Office (MYC Library) from 07:30 to 08:30
- Briefing – 08:00 MYC
- Warning signal for the first race will not be before 09:55
- Championship dinner
- Sunday 15th September
- Warning signal for the first race will not be before 09:55
- No warning signal will be made after 13:00
- Visitors boats to be lifted out immediately after racing
- Prizegiving
Eligibility Entry and Fees
- Owners or helms of any nationality who are members of a yacht club recognised by their national authority
- Enter by completing the Registration Form (below)
- £135 for entries if form and fee received by 1st September 2019, thereafter £150
- Entry includes launch and recovery for visiting boats and Championship dinner for a maximum of three competitors

- Race Five ~ The Haven Ports Yacht Club Decanter
- Race Six ~ The Royal Corinthian Yacht Club Trophy
- Others prizes may be awarded at the Medway Dragon Fleet’s discretion for any subsequent races
- A Corinthian Trophy will be awarded for the helmsman with the best overall result amongst those who have chosen, and are eligible to compete for it as ISAF Category 1 sailors. All crew members must be registered as ISAF Category 1 for this trophy follow this link to register
