Joining the Medway Yacht Club

We would like you to know that you do not have to own a boat to join us. We do have a very active social side and all of the Fleets are keen to have social members and if you think you would like to try sailing they will find a way of getting you on the water as crew during a race or after racing whichever suits you.

If you are not sure of anything speak to the Club Secretary and if she cannot answer your questions, will arrange for a Flag Officer or Class Captain to speak to you.

Remember you don’t have to fill in an application to visit us, pop in during the week (09:00 to 16:30 Monday to Saturday) and someone will show you around and discuss your requirements.

The appropriate forms are available from the office or by clicking on one of the links on the left. Following receipt, your application will be posted on the notice board for a period of two weeks and you will be asked to attend a introductory meeting with members of the Management Committee, before the application goes before the next meeting of the Management Committee for consideration.

If you wish to join the Club but do not know any existing members, you should first contact the Club Secretary and arrangements will be made for you to be introduced to Officers of the Club and members of the Management Committee.
