Who we are and What we do The purpose of the MYC Cruiser Class is to encourage and coordinate all types of Sailing Cruiser activities at the Club. We run a full programme of racing as
the MYC sponsored Cruiser Handicap Racing Class. We also organise Cruising and fun events and have an active Social Program in the winter. We represent the interests of ALL Cruiser owners on the Sailing, House and General MYC Committees. Those Members who enjoy single handed sailing and a solitary evening in a deserted creek should still join the Class because our "pulling power" in protecting and advancing the interests of all Cruiser Owners depends to a fair degree on our Membership numbers. The MYC Cruiser Class offers Full Membership to Medway Yacht Club members who are owners or part owners of Sailing Cruisers. We also offer Associate Membership to Medway Yacht Club members who are not Cruiser owners, such as crew members, who have an interest in our Cruiser Class activities. A committee of up to nine Class members, all of whom are elected annually, administers the MYC Cruiser Class. Cruiser Class members are kept informed of Class activities by means of regular mailings and we publish an annual Year Book in April giving the Sailing and Social programmes for the year. In addition, the minutes of the Cruiser Class committee meetings are posted on the Class notice board to give members a further opportunity to keep abreast of what is happening within the Class. Membership of the MYC Cruiser Class costs just £10 per year, which is used solely to defray our printing and postal costs. To join the MYC
