			The Cadet class is for anyone who wants to sail and is between 10 and 23 years old! You may have been part of the Oppie fleet and now feel up to more of a challenge or want the thrill of close racing or the speed of a Moth. Our aim is to provide a stimulating but safe sailing experience from novice to expert. The Cadet class also get together for formal and informal social events. Races take place on the river starting from the club on most Sunday’s during the season with a slow and fast handicap series depending on level of expertise. The slow handicap is primarily for Toppers, Mirrors, Laser picos and even Optibats. Lasers and Laser 2s form the majority of the fast handicap including Buzz. The fast handicap is open to all ages so you can compete with Mum or Dad! Courses are set depending on the conditions and participants ability.
